New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: After the long wait for months, The Haryana Board of Secondary Education also known as the ‘HBSE’ on Friday declared the results for class 10th board examination. The results will be declared on the official website of Haryana Board of Secondary Education at bseh.org.in. Students can check their scorecard by clicking on the official website of the HBSE.

According to Haryana Board officials, 64.59 per cent candidates were able to pass the HBSE class 10th board examination in 2020.

Earlier, Haryana Board's Chairman Jagbir Singh in June said that the results will not be declared during the month of June. The Haryana Board had earlier said that the results will be calculated based on the evaluation of four subjects as it was unable to conduct the fifth exam for science subject. It was supposed to announce the results earlier in May but the evaluation of answer sheets got delayed after the government imposed a nationwide lockdown to control the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

Here's how the candidates will be able to check their class 10th board examination result:

Step 1) The candidates would need to visit the official website of the Haryana Board at bseh.org.in

Step 2) After visiting the official Haryana Board website, the candidates would need to click on the link that says "HBSE 10th Result 2020"

Step 3) Following this, the candidates would need to enter their official details like roll number, date of birth, and all necessary details asked on the website.

Step 4) Your result will appear on the display of your screen.

Step 5) The candidates are advised to check and verify their class 10th board examination result.

Step 6) After this, the candidates are advised to download their result and save a printout for further reference

Students will also be able to check their results on Jagran Josh website.   

HBSE Class 10 Result 2020 toppers list

According to Haryana Board officials, 64.59 per cent candidates were able to pass the HBSE class 10th board examination in 2020. The board further said that the passing percentage among girls is 69.86 per cent while that of boys is 60.27 per cent. Karthik of Jind has secured the first position with 498 marks out of 500. The second position has been secured by Selina Yadav of Rewari, Sonali or Sirsa and Hari Om of Palwal who scored 495 marks out of 500. 

HBSE Class 10 Result 2019 toppers list

The Haryana Board of School Education (BSEH) declared the results of Class 10 exams of 2019 on its official website www.bseh.org.in

In the year 2019, Himanshu from Jhanjhar topped the Haryana board exams with 497 marks. Apart from Himanshu, Sanju from Panipat, Isha Devi from Kaithal, and Shalini from Narwana also scored 497 marks out of 500 each. Nisha from Hisar, Ritika from Fatehabad, Tannu from Panipat, and Divya from Sirsa scored 496 marks out of 500 each.

On the other hand, Ekta from Kakroad, Muskaan from Sirsa, Sahil Bhardwaj from Panipat, Chhayya from Jind, Anshu from Jind, Pooja Devi from Hisar, Shubhanshu Kumar Ojha from Sonipat and Nidhi from Fatehabad scored 495 marks out of 500 each.  

Last year, a total of 3,64,967 candidates had appeared for the Haryana class 10th Board exams. The passing percentage last year was 57.39 percent as 2,09,445 were able to pass the exams. While the overall passing percentage of girls in the state was 62 percent, the passing percentage of boys was recorded as 55 percent in 2019.
