New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to release its Combined Graduate Level (CGL) tier-1 2018 exam on Tuesday (August 20). The examination was conducted in June 2019. Candidates who appeared in the exam can check the result on the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in.

Nearly 25.7 lakh candidates had registered for the exam, but only 8.3 lakh appeared in SSC CGL tier-1 exam. It was conducted in 22 shifts across 362 centers in 131 cities.

Here is how to check the SSC CGL tier-1 result:

Step 1: Open the link- ssc.nic.in on your web browser.
Step 2: Click on SSC CGL tier-1 result 2018 on its homepage.
Step 3: A PDF file will get opened with the names of candidates who are selected for tier-2 exams.
Step 4: Check your name or roll number in the list.
Step 5: Download or keep a print copy for future reference.

Meanwhile, SSC has released SSC CGL tier-II exam date. The examination will be held from September 11-13. Candidates who qualify in the tier-1 will be eligible to appear for tier-II exams.

A total of three tiers and skill test needs to be cleared by the candidates in order to get a job. It will fill Group B and C jobs for which payments are from Rs 9,300-34,000 and Rs 5200-20,200.

The CGL examination is conducted to recruit staff in several posts across various ministries, departments and organisations under the government of India (GOI) in subordinate offices. Established in 1975, SSC has its headquarter in Delhi.
