New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The government of Odisha has announced the schedule of upcoming semester exams for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) exams along with the declaration of results and fresh admissions for session 2020-21, said a report published in The report claimed that Higher Education Minister of Odisha Arun Kumar Sahoo has declared the results after a meeting with university VC's during a video-conference.

If the report is true, the examination for the sixth semester UG students would be conducted between June 20 and July 24. The results of the final year UG exams would be declared by the end of August. The examination for postgraduate students would be completed by August 20 and the result would be declared by September 20.

The date sheet for the UG and PG exams would be announced in advance so that students do not face any difficulty.

Meanwhile, admission to postgraduate exams would be completed by October 20, and classes will begin from November 2020, officials told The final year examination of undergraduate courses is necessary as students are required to appear in entrance exams for postgraduate courses. Officials are trying to conduct the entrance exams during the third week of June.

For admissions to undergraduate courses, Odisha needs to wait for the declaration of class 12 results. Once the results are declared, admissions will begin shortly.

The Education Minister has said that the university vice-chancellors and autonomous college principles have been asked by the department to open the university from May 7 with one-third of its workforce, as quoted by Jagranjosh.

The college authorities have discussed a blueprint to strengthen the teaching and learning process via e-learning system. Officials have been asked to provide the best study materials to students. The situation will be reviewed by the concerned department in every 15 days.
