New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, also known as the MPBSE, will likely declare the much-awaited results for the board examination of class 12th in July, said The Times of India in a report.

Madhya Pradesh Board Divisional Officer Deven Sonwani told The Times of India that the evaluation process of the answer sheets of the subjects that were conducted before the central government imposed a nationwide coronavirus-induced lockdown is completed and the evaluation for the remaining subjects will begin from June 22.

Sonwani further said that the Madhya Pradesh Board will provide guidelines for the evaluation of the answer sheets of class 12th board exams by next week.

Indore District Education officer Rajendra Makwani also told The Times of India that the evaluation process of the answer sheets will also be conducted in the district.

“Checking of answer sheets of the remaining subjects is likely to begin from the next week. The answer sheets of the students of Indore district will be sent to other districts for evaluation,” The Times of India quoted Makwani as saying.

The board examination of class 12th students in Madhya Pradesh were be conducted from March 2 to March 19. The Madhya Pradesh Board had conducted exams for 17 subject, including optional subjects.

However, the examination for other subjects were not conducted in the state after the central government imposed a nationwide lockdown to control the spread of the highly contagious coronavirus in the country. The Madhya Pradesh Board later announced that it will conduct the board examination of the remaining papers from June 9.  

In 2019, more than 32 lakh students had appeared for the Madhya Pradesh Board class 12th board examination. The overall passing percentage in 2019 was 73 per cent. The girls had outperformed the boys in 2019 as their passing percentage was 76.31 per cent while that of boys was 68.94 per cent.
