New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the class 10th board exam results 2020. The students waiting for the results can check their class 10th scorecard on the official website of CBSE at cbse.nic.in. The results can also be checked on Digilocker and Umang App. 

Announcing the results, Union HRD Minister congratulated the students and their parents for their achievements in the board exams. He tweeted, "Dear Students, Parents, and Teachers! @cbseindia29 has announced the results of Class X and can be accessed at http://cbseresults.nic.in. We congratulate you all for making this possible. I reiterate the student's health & quality education are our priority".

Here are the LIVE Updates of Class 10th results announcement:

1:25 pm: As per CBSE rules, students need at least 33 per cent marks to pass in a subject. For subjects having practical and theory aspects, students have to pass in both separately.

1:20 pm: This year, Trivandrum has emerged as the best performing district with 99.28 per cent, followed by Chenna with 98.95 per cent and Bengaluru with 98.23 per cent.

1:10 pm: Girls outshines boys with 93.31 per cent overall pass percentage against 90.14 per cent boys passing the class 10th exams. 

1:05 pm: Out of the total 18,73,015 students appeared for the class 10th exams, 17,13,121 students cleared class 10th exams in 2020.

1. Log on to the official Board website cbse.nic.in. You can also check the result at cbseresults.nic.in and results.nic.in

2. For Class 10 results, there is a separate link on the website saying "CBSE Class 10th Board Results". 

3. Fill your enrollment number and others details as required in the specific fields. 

4. The result will appear on the website, which can de downloaded for future reference. 

 

 

5. Students are advised to keep their admit cards handy while checking the resuls online as they will be required to fill details like roll number, etc.

12:45 pm: HRD Minister congratulates students 

12:40 pm: Over 18 lakh students were waiting for the announcement of 10th CBSE Board Results. Students can check their results at cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.nic.in. Students can also check their results at results.nic.in.

12:30 pm: Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today announced the Class 10 CBSE Results 2020. He congratulated the students for their achievements

11:50 am: Students can access their digital CBSE 10th result, mark sheet, passing and migration certificates, skill certificates through DigiLocker mobile app. Login credential for the same has already been sent to the registered mobile number of students.

11:40 am: The students can access their CBSE 10th result through the following websites cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in, results.nic.in

11:35 am: The minimum marks required to clear a subject is 33. For subjects having practical and theory aspects, students have to pass in both.

11:25 am: How to check your result

Students can check their CBSE Class 10 Exam Results 2020 on the Board's official website cbse.nic.in. They can also log on to cbseresults.nic.in and results.nic.in to check their scores. Here are a few simple steps you need to follow to check your CBSE Class 10 Exam Result 2020 online: 

1. Log on to the official Board website cbse.nic.in. You can also check the result at cbseresults.nic.in and results.nic.in

2. For Class 10 results, there is a separate link on the website saying "CBSE Class 10th Board Results". 

3. Fill your enrollment number and others details as required in the specific fields. 

4. The result will appear on the website, which can de downloaded for future reference. 

5. Students are advised to keep their admit cards handy while checking the resuls online as they will be required to fill details like roll number, etc.

11:20 am: Where else can you check the result

This year, students will not have to visit their schools or zonal office to collect their results. The students will get a digital mark sheet this year that can be downloaded from DigiLocker app.

Other than the Board's official website, the results for Class 10 Board exams 2020 will also be provided by the Board through other facilities like IVRS Facility, DigiLocker App (digilocker.gov.in), UMANG App, DigiResults App and Microsoft SMS Organiser App. 

11:00 am: CBSE Class 10 Exam Result - Last Year's Statistics

In 2019, a total of 17, 61,078 students appeared for CBSE Class 10 Board exams out of which 91.1 per cent candidates passed the exams. Girls outclassed boys by over 2 per cent. 

13 students obtained 499 out of 500 and shared the top position which included - Siddhant Pengoriya, Yogesh Kumar Gupta, Divyansh Wadhwa, Ankur Mishra, Manya, Vatsal Varshney, Taru Jain, Aryan Jha, Bhavana N Sivadas, Ish Madan, Divjot Kaur Jaggi, Apoorva Jain and Shivani Lath.

The CBSE on July 13 declared the class 12th board exams results, according to which 99.78 per cent of the total students appeared cleared the class 12th board exams. However, the CBSE has not released a merit list this year in wake of the 'exceptional circumstances' due to the coronavirus pandemic.  

The CBSE earlier last month had informed the Supreme Court that it will declare the class 10th and class 12th board exams results by mid-July, after the board cancelled all pending exams for class 10th and class 12th in wake of the coronavirus crisis. The Board had also said that the results will be announced on the basis of the new assessment scheme. 

In the Class 12 exam results, girls outshone boys by 5.96 per cent. While the pass percentage of girls is 92.15 per cent, that of boys is 86.19 per cent, this year. Over 1.57 lakh students have scored above 90 per cent, while over 38,000 have scored more than 95 per cent marks. A total of 11.92 lakh candidates had appeared for the class 12 examination.

The central government had informed the Supreme Court on June 25 that Class 12 students who wish to appear for a reexamination will be given an option for the same. For those who don't wish to appear for reexamination, the assessment will be done on the basis of their performance in the last two exams.
