New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The examinations for Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) will be conducted between June 25 and July 4 in Karnataka, said Karnataka Education Minister S Suresh Kumar as quoted by news agency ANI. 

Exams for English paper of Pre-University Course (PUC) will be held on June 18, he added.

The exam dates will be available on the official website at The Board will release the do and don'ts that are needed to be followed for the health conduct of the exams. 

The SSLC exam that will be taken by nearly 8.5 lakh students across the state was scheduled to be held in March, but it is was postponed due to lockdown due to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of HRD has cancelled the Class 10 exam nationwide except for clash hit North East Delhi. Suresh Kumar had earlier said that a majority of students want to write the exams as they have prepared for it throughout the year.

The minister had earlier held a meeting with department officials to discuss the feasibility of conducting the exam.

The education minister had also informed, "We have to make arrangements for masks, sanitisers and thermal scanners. We will set up a thermal scanner for a health check-up," as quoted by Times Now. 

He stated that modalities of conducting exams in the ongoing situation of COVID-19 pandemic while taking care of students interest is of paramount importance.

Earlier today, the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) announced the datasheet for class 12 exams nationwide and class 12 time table for students of North East Delhi.

Meanwhile, answer sheets of already held exams are being evaluated by teachers in their homes to protect them from the deadly virus. The results of already conducted exams are likely to declared in August. The academic session will begin in September, according to media reports.
