ICSE, ISC Board Exam 2020: CICSE allows class 10, 12 students to change exam centres
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has allowed class 10,12 students to change exam centre, appear for pending exams during compartmental tests, reported news agency PTI.
Now, the students can appear for ISC exam in their own cities, districts and states. The formal request for a change in exam centre will have to be formally done by the school where the candidates are registered. According to the notification, students need to change their exam centre before June 7.
“The requests for a change in examination centres must be formally routed through the schools for where the candidates had been registered for the year 2020 examinations latest by June 7, 2020. Schools may upload such requests on the CAREERS portal of CISCE under the “Examinations system - center transfer”. No payment will need to be made for such requests of change of centre,” said Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary of the Council as quoted by Hindustan Times.
The decision comes as CISCE gears up to conclude the exam of secondary and higher secondary exam that were delayed due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
The students have to identify their nearby CISCE affiliated schools and request their school to change their exam centre.
The candidates who have been impacted by the pandemic will be allowed to appear in exam at the time of conduction of compartmental exams.
The board has said that a detail guidelines to conduct the remaining papers shall be sent to exam centres by CICSE. The pending papers of ICSE exam will be held from July 2 to 12, while the ISC exam will be conducted from July 1 to 14.
The decision to allow outstation students to appear in board exam from home districts was earlier taken by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
