New Delhi | Jagran Education: Amid lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country, several board results including the CBSE and ICSE have been delayed. In such a case, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has decided to allow registration of Class 12 students for CA Foundation course. They no longer need to submit their results to enroll for the program. In case, if the student fails to clear the exam then the registration will stand cancelled.

“In view of above, such candidates who are not able to register themselves in the Foundation due to non-appearance in all papers of class 12th Examination, the Competent Authority has decided to relax the eligibility criteria for registering in Foundation Course, as a one-time measure,” read a recent notice from ICAI as quoted by Times Now.

Here's how the students can fill the ICAI Foundation form online

Step 1: Visit the official website of ICAI-

Step 2: Click on CA Foundation course on the homepage.

Step 3: Enter details to generate ID and password

Step 4: Fill the application form and upload photograph and registration ID

Step 5: Submit the form and take a print out of acknowlegement.

Recently the CA exams which were scheduled to be held in May 2020 were also postponed. The exams have been pushed to June/July due to COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The examination will be conducted from June 20 to July 4 across 207 centres across the country. In order to check the eligibility and more details, visit the official website of ICAI.
