New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) on Thursday declared the results for class 12th board exams. The HPBOSE 12th results 2020 were declared by the HPBOSE at its official website on hpbose.org.

The students waiting for the results can check their results at hpbose.org. Alternatively, the students cam also check their results on third party websites including examresults.net and indiaresults.com.

This year a total of 86,633 students appeared for the HPBOSE class 12th exams. Of the total, 65,654 students cleared the exams. 

The announcement regarding the declaration of results was made yesterday by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education. “The result of class 12 exam will be announced today at 11.30 am from the board office. The board will follow all the social distancing guidelines in announcing result taking note of the COVID-19 pandemic,” read the official release.

 

The HPBOSE class 12th exams were scheduled to conducted from March 4 to March 27, however, only 4 key subjects exams can be conducted as on March 25 Prime Minister Narendra Modi imposd a nation-wide lockdown to contain the spread of the coronavirus. Thus, the HPBOSE postponed the remaining exams.

However, later, the HPBOSE decided not to conduct the pending Geography exam (1 of the 5 key subjects) and assess the students on the basis of the four main subjects that were already conducted by the board. The board stated that the grade for the Geography paper will be awarded in proportion to the highest marks received on the previous four exams.   

 

 

Steps to check HPBOSE 12 results 2020:

- Log on to the official website of HPBOSE, hpbose.org

- Click on, 'HPBOSE Class 12th Results 2020'

- Enter your roll number and click on submit

- HP Board Class 12 result 2020 will be displayed on the screen

- Download and keep a print out for further use.

Around 86,633 students had appeared for the HPBOSE class 12 exams 2020. They can check their results at hpbose.org. A candidate needs to secure at least 33 per cent marks in each subject to be declared pass.
