New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) declared the class 10th board examination result on Friday (July 10) evening. The result was declared by the Haryana Board at its official website -- bseh.org.in. The Haryana Board last month had said the result will be declared only after conducting the science exam for class 10. The Haryana Board had also announced that it will declare the class 10th board examination result on June 8. However, it later announced that the matric result will be declared later.

In 2019, the Haryana Board had declared the much-awaited results earlier but it got delayed this time after the central government imposed a nationwide lockdown to control the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country. Later Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal said that "schools could only be opened in July month, but before opening, demo schools would be made operational".

"Suppose, these are 30 students in one class, only 15 students could be called for attending the classes under demo, and the rest 15 could be called on the next day. The schools could be run in morning and evening shifts and there would be no winter vacations for this year’s session in Haryana," he had said. 

Here's how the candidates will be able to check their class 10th board examination result:

Step 1) The candidates would need to visit the official website of the Haryana Board at bseh.org.in

Step 2) After visiting the official Haryana Board website, the candidates would need to click on the link that says "HBSE 10th Result 2020"

Step 3) Following this, the candidates would need to enter their official details like roll number, date of birth and all necessary details asked on the website

Step 4) Your result will appear of the display of your screen

Step 5) The candidates are advised to check and verify their class 10th board examination result

Step 6) After this, the candidates are advised to download their result and save a printout for further reference

Students will also be able to check their results on Jagran Josh.  

About the Haryana Board class 10th examination:

The Haryana Board has announced that 64.50 per cent candidates were able to pass the class 10th board examination in 2020. Kartik of Jind has topped with 498 marks out of 500 while the second position has been secured by three candidates -- Selina Yadav of Rewari, Sonali or Sirsa and Hari Om of Palwal -- who have scored 495 marks each.

Last year, over 3.64 lakh students had appeared for the Haryana Board class 10th examination. Out of the total number of the candidates, 2.09 lakh students were able to pass the exams, taking the passing percentage to 57.39 per cent. According to the Haryana Board officials, the passing percentage among boys was 62 per cent while that of girls was 55 per cent.
