New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Delhi University Entrance Exams (DUET) will be conducted from September 4 to 12 in multiple sessions. The decision was taken in a meeting that was held by DU Admission committee on Saturday, July 18, Hindustan Times reported. The committee will again meet on Monday to discuss other details related to DUET 2020, the report said.

The entrance exams facilitate admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by 45 colleges of Delhi University. National Testing Agency will host the prestigious exams on behalf of Delhi University. The entrance exams will be conducted for two hours in Computer-based Test Mode across 24 Indian cities.

Meanwhile, the varsity has extended the online application process for admission to UG, PG, MPhil and PhD programmes till July 31. It includes applications for entrance as well as merit-based admission. The registration process commenced on June 20 and was initially scheduled to end on July 04. However, it was extended twice, firs July 18 to allow more participants.

 

So far 4,47, 692 aspirants have registered on the portal for admission to undergraduate courses while 2,95, 285 have paid the registration fees, the University said. For postgraduate programmes, 1,68,193 aspirants have applied as of now while 1,36,302 have the application fees.

 DU admission: Application Fee

The application fee for merit-based programmes is Rs 250. For reserved category candidates, the fee is Rs 100. For open category candidates, applying for entrance-based programmes, a fee of Rs 750 is applicable. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/EWS category, a fee of Rs 300 is applicable. An additional registration fee of Rs 100 will be charged for ECA/Sports quota applicants.
