New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, which is also called the "CGBSE", declared the much-awaited results for class 10th and class 12th board examination on Tuesday (June 23) at 11 am on its official website -- cgbse.nic.in. The results were declared by Chhattisgarh Education Minister Prem Sai Singh via virtual press conference because of the nationwide lockdown imposed to check the spread of novel coronavirus. The class 10th and class 12th candidates can also check their board examination results at results.cg.nic.in.

According to the Chhattisgarh Board, the passing percentage for class 10th students in 2020 is 73.62 per cent while the passing percentage for class 12th students is 78.59 per cent.

The results of board examination of class 10th and class 12th were supposed to be declared earlier this year by got delayed after the central government imposed the nationwide coronavirus-induced to contain the spread of the deadly infection that has claimed the lives of over 13,500 in India so far. Chhattisgarh has reported over 2,300 coronavirus cases and 12 deaths so far, according to Union Health Ministry.

Here’s how students will be able to check their Chhattisgarh Board class 10th and 12th exam results:

There are two ways for the candidates to check the Chhattisgarh Board class 10th and class 12th board examination results. The candidates can check their results via both online and offline methods.

For offline methods, the candidates would need to send an SMS in the format of CG12(Roll Number) or CG10(Roll Number) to 56263 to check their class 10th and class 12th board examination results.

Apart from this, the candidates can also check their results online:

Step 1) The students would need to go to the official CGBSE website at cgbse.nic.in

Step 2) Now click on the link that reads ‘Class 10th’ or ‘Class 12th’ results

Step 3) Following this, you are requested to enter your enrollment number and other details asked by the board

Step 4) Your result will appear at the website. Check it and verify it

Step 5) At least, the candidates are requested to download their results and take a printout for further reference

This year, over 3.54 lakh students had given the Chhattisgarh Board class 10th exams while more than 2.75 lakh candidates had appeared for the class 12th board exams. The board, however, was not able to conduct the remaining exams after the Centre imposed a coronavirus-induced lockdown. It later announced that all candidates will be passed on the basis of internal assessment while adding that if a candidate fails to clear the assessment, then he or she will be given minimum passing marks, adding that nobody would be failed during the assessment.

This was also the first time when the students were not given extra answer sheets. The Board last year had announced that class 10th students will be given a 32-page long answer booklet while that of class 12th will get a 42-page booklet. This was done to encourage the students to write short answers, the board had said.
