Gandhinagar | Jagran Education Desk: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, also known as the "GSHSEB" on Monday (June 15) declared the much-awaited results for the HSC Arts and Commerce streams at its official website --

The GSEB HSC exams were held in the month of March and the Gujarat Board was supposed to declare the results earlier. However, the evaluation process got delayed after the government imposed a nationwide lockdown to control the spread of the highly infectious coronavirus in the country. However, the evaluation of the answersheets were resumed in May after the central government withdrew some of the restrictions. The Gujarat Board now has finally declared the GSEB HSC Results.    

Here's how to check your GSEB HSC Result 2020:

Step 1) The candidates would need to go to the official website of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board at

Step 2) The candidates would now need to click on the link that says "HSC 12th General Stream Result"

Step 3) Following this, the candidates would need to fill their enrollement numbers and other necessary details

Step 4) Your Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board HSC result will appear on your screen

Step 5) Check and verify your results

Step 6) Download your results and take a prinout for further reference  

Is there any other method to check the Gujarat Board HSC Results 2020?

The candidates can also check their results through offline mode. For this, the candidates would need to send an SMS --- HSC <space> Enrollement number --- to 56263 to check their GSEB HSC results. 

Gujarat Board HSC Results 2020 Statistics:

The Gujarat Board HSC exams were given by more than six lakh candidates in the year 2020. According to the Gujarat Board, the passing percentage is 76.29 per cent this year. This time the boys have performed better than the girls. The Gujarat Board has said that the passing percentage between the boys is 71.69 per cent while that of girls is 70.85 per cent.

Last year, nearly four lakh candidates had appeared for the Gujarat Board HSC exams. Last year, the girls had outshinned the boys as their passing percentage was 74.90 per cent while that of the boys was 74 per cent.

Students need to obtain a minimum of grade 'D':

It is noteworthy to mention that a candidate would need to obtain a minium of grade 'D' to get the higher secondary certificate. If a student obtains 'E1' or 'E2', then he or she will have to clear the Gujarat Board HSC exam after subsequent attempts and qualify again.
