New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday afternoon declared the much-awaited result for the class 12th board examination. Union Human Resource and Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank made the announcement, wishing the students good luck.

"Dear Students, Parents and Teachers! CBSE has announced the results of Class XII and can be accessed at cbseresults.nic.in. We congratulate you all for making this possible. I reiterate, Student's health and quality education are our priority," he tweeted.

According to the CBSE, the overall passing percentage in 2020 has been recorded at 88.78 per cent. As per the CBSE, the highest passing percentage has been reported in Trivandrum which has reported 97.67 per cent.

The CBSE had earlier informed the Supreme Court that it will declare the class 10th and class 12th board exam results by mid-July. The board had also informed that the results will be declared on the basis on the marking scheme announced by it.

The CBSE had cancelled the pending class 10th and class 12th board exams in wake of the coronavirus crisis in the country. The board had in June announced that the pending class 10th and class 12th exams would be conducted in July but later cancelled them due to the coronavirus pandemic.
