New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The pending exam datesheets for Class 10, 12 board exam, which was supposed to be announced on Saturday, will now be released on May 18, said Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal.

In a tweet post, he wrote, "CBSE is taking into consideration some additional technical aspects before finalizing the datesheets of the board exams of classes 10th and 12th, due to which, the datesheets will now be released by Monday i.e. 18-05-2020. Inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted."

Earlier today, Union Minister in a tweet post had said that schedules will be announced at 5 pm. 

"Attention Students! Releasing the date sheet for #CBSE Board Examinations for Class 10th and 12th today at 5.00 pm. Stay tuned for more details," the tweet post read. 

The CBSE will conduct Class 12 exams for business studies, geography, home science, sociology, computer science (old), information practice (new), Hindi (Core), Hindi (elective), computer science (new), information practice (old), information technology and biotechnology.

The board will only conduct board exams of class 10 only for the students of northeast Delhi.

All the schools and colleges across the country have been closed to prevent the spread of the deadly-virus since the announcement of nationwide lockdown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

Amid COVID-19, answer sheets are being sent to the homes of evaluators for board exams that have been already conducted in order to protect them by the virus. 

A few days ago, Ramesh Pokhriyal had shared the dates of the entrance exams NEET (National Entrance Eligibility Test) and JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main and Advanced dates. While the NEET exam will be held on July 26, JEE Main and Advanced exams will be conducted from July 18-23 and August 23 respectively. 

The result of the 2020 Board Exam 2020 is likely to be announced in August and the academic session will begin in September. For more details, visit the official website of CBSE at
