New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the class 10th board exams results. The class 10th board exam results will be declared by the CBSE on its official website at cbse.nic.in. 

Earlier on Tuesday, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced that the class 10th board exams results will be released on July 15 (Wednesday).

The CBSE had on July 13 released the class 12th board exams results, according to which 88.78 per cent of the total students appeared cleared the exams. 

 

Earlier last month, the CBSE had informed the Supreme Court that the board will be declaring the class 10th and class 12th results by mid-July. The CBSE had also informed the court that it will be releasing the basis of their new assessment scheme. The top court also approved the assessment scheme set by CBSE for evaluation of answer sheet. 

The CBSE class 10th and class 12th board exams were postponed after PM Modi in March end had announced the nation-wide lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus which has afflicted more than 9 lakh people across the country so far. The board in June had informed that it would conduct the remaining exams in July but later cancelled them in wake of the coronavirus crisis.

 

CBSE 10th Result 2020 Date and Time:

The CBSE will be releasing the class 10th board examination results today (July 15). The results will be declared by the CBSE at its official website – cbse.nic.in. The CBSE will also declare the class 10th board examination results at the DigiLocker app. The class 10th candidates will have to download the app and create ID to download their mark sheets, passing certificates and migration certificates.

Meanwhile, the candidates can also download UMANG app, which is available for android, iOS and Windows-based Smart Phones, to download their mark sheets, passing certificates and migration certificates.

On what basis the CBSE will declare the class 10th results?

The CBSE has said that it will declare the results on the basis of the new assessment scheme announced by it earlier. As per the CBSE, the candidates who appeared in more than three exams, “their average marks in best three performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted”.

However, the CBSE has said that if a candidate has appeared only in three exams, then the average marks of two subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted.

CBSE unlikely to release a merit list for class 10th exam results

The CBSE is unlikely to release the merit list for class 10th board exams, according to a report by Dainik Jagran. CBSE examination controller Sanyam Bhardwaj has said that the board is mulling to not issue the merit list and the toppers list this year, as the results for class 10th board examinations will be evaluated according to the new assessment scheme decided by the board, reported Dainik Jagran.
