BSEB Class 10th Results 2020: Decoding girls performance over the years in Bihar Matric exam
New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The Bihar School Education Board is likely to announce the class 10th result for board exams held in 2020 by 5 pm today. The results will be uploaded on the official website of the BSEB at biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in. So, students are advised to keep their credentials ready to check their results as soon as it will be uploaded.
Looking back at the results of the previous years, the record of girls managing to secure the top position in the matriculation exam has been inconsistent over the years. Sometimes, girls have surprised the records by creating histories altogether, however, quite a few times the girly flare has gone missing from the State Board results.
According to a Career360 report, in 2018, state's three top performing students in class 10 board exams were girls. In fact, out of the 16 students sharing or preceding the top ten ranks, nine of them were girls.
However, next year in 2019, there was not a single girl student in the top ten. Moreover, their success rate was lower than that of the boys, with only 75.27% girls passing the BSEB matriculation exam, as compared to 83% of the boys.
In 2020 this year, over 15 Lakh students have appeared for the matriculation exams, results of which are expected to be released by 5 pm.
The Class 12th BSEB results, which were declared in the month of March itself, showed state board's best Inter-year performance in recent years. Over eighty percent students passed the exam, with passing percentage in Commerce stream having went up as high as above 93 percent.
The pass percentage among female students was reported to be 82.62% as compared to 78.61% of the male students. Girls, in this year's BSEB inter results, have either topped in all three streams -- Arts, Science and Commerce -- or have shared it with the boys.
