New Delhi | Jagran Education Desk: The state Education Minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma on Tuesday finally declared the result of secondary exams of the Bihar Secondary Examination Board (BSEB). Out of the total 14,94,071 students, at least 12,04,030 students cleared the exams. The pass percentage of students stood at 80.59 per cent. Himanshu Raj topped the exam with 481 marks out of 500.
A total of 4.03 lakh students achieved first division, followed by 2.57 lakh (second division) and 1.17 lakh (third division).
Candidates have been advised to visit onlinebseb.in or boharboardonline.com to check the results. All you need to do is enter your credentials like roll number to check the scorecard. If the official website slows down, wait for few minutes or visit third party websites.
Students who are not satisfied with the marks may apply for re-evaluation or re-check. You need to pay Rs 70 per paper for that purpose.
With declaration of class 10 results, BSEB has become the first board in the country to declare both HSC and secondary exams result in 2020.
Last year, the results for Bihar Board class 10 were declared on an early date, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the results are delayed.
The exams were held during the month of February. While the Class 10 results are still pending, BSEB had released the Class 12 exam results in March. The BSEB officials were in charge of checking the answer sheets for a second check. Two officials from the board were deployed in each district to complete this task.
The toppers of the BSEB board across 38 districts were first interviewed and then the results are declared on the official website. Amid ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the country, the interview was conducted via video-conferencing or call.
