WC 2019 | Ind vs Pak: Probable Playing XI of India and Pakistan
Manchester | Jagran Sports Desk: The most anticipated match of the World Cup 2019 will be played between India and Pakistan on June 16 at the Old Trafford in Manchester.
This would be the seventh time when India and Pakistan would face each other at a World Cup. So far, India has won all the previous six occasions.
India would look to continue their unbeatable record against their arch-rivals in the World Cup while Pakistan would try to change the history this time.
India has played three games and won two of them while the third game was washed out due to rain. While Pakistan, on the other hand, has played four, lost two, won just one game with being washed out.
However, with Shikhar Dhawan being injured, India will have to find the right combination. In Dhawan’s absence, KL Rahul could do the opening while Vijay Shankar could play at number four.
India might also go with Mohammad Shami in place of Kuldeep Yadav in the overcast condition at Manchester.
While Pakistan are expected to bring back Harris Sohail and Shadab Khan in their Playing XI. Pakistan will hope that Mohammad Aamir will continue his form with the ball. They will also look to work on their fielding department as they had a sloppy show against Australia in their last match at the World Cup.
Probable Playing XI of both India and Pakistan:
India: Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli (C), Vijay Shankar, MS Dhoni (WK), Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal
Pakistan: Imam ul Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfraz Ahmed (C)(WK), Shoaib Malik, Harris Sohail, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir
