Rohit Sharma 2.0 proved why he should bat at the top of the longer format of the game with two tons in his maiden innings as an opener. The stalwart scored 176 and 126 runs respectively, during the first and second innings respectively. Mayank Agarwal (215) also ensured that he is making every chance count and he did it by slamming maiden double century.

South Africa, on the other hand, will be eyeing to recover after a collapse in their second innings that inflicted them an embarrassing loss in the opening Test. Opener Aiden Markram and the middle-order players Temba Bavuma and TheunisdeBruyn failed to contribute with the bat onfield. So, the players are expected to pull up their socks in the upcoming test.

The bowlers have also shown a dismal performance that made way for the hosts to declare their innings twice. They need to come back stronger in order to tie or even draw the second Test. The visitors might be even forced to drop Muthuswamy or Piedt, who were taken to the cleaners by Indian batsmen.

The match will begin at 9.30 am and telecast live on Star Sports and OTT platform Hotstar.
