New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: India skipper Rohit Sharma on Thursday completed his 18th T20I fifty while featuring in his 100th T20I against Bangladesh held at SCA Stadium in Rajkot. He began off his innings by dominating the bowlers and reached his fifty in style by hitting a six over long-on off Afif Hossain in eighth over as India seemed to take control of the match at 82 without a wicket in 7.1 overs.

Rohit Sharma reached his fifty off 23 balls. Later, he went to score 85 runs-- off 43 balls that included 6 fours and equal number of fours-- before getting dismissed off Aminul Islam in the 13th over, leaving India at 125-2 in 12.2 overs and the hosts looked favourite to go on to win the watch with ease.

Later, India went to win the match by eight wickets with 4.2 overs to spare. Opener Shikhar Dhawan contributed 31 runs as he and Rohit put up 4th hundred run stand in the T20Is. Shreyas Iyer finished off the match by hitting 24 runs off just 13 deliveries. Spinner Aminul Islam was the lone successful bowler for Bangladesh, he ended with figures of 29/4 in four overs.

India win means the hosts have levelled the series 1-1. The third T20I or the decider will be played at VCA Stadium, Nagpur on Sunday (November 10).

Earlier, Bangladesh scored 153/6 in their 20 overs as Liton scored 29 while Mohammad Naim, Soumya Sarkar and skipper Mahmadullah chipped in with their 30s. For hosts, pacer Shivam Dube picked up two wickets for 28 runs.
