New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has hit out at the International Cricket Council (ICC) after being trolled by the apex body for claiming that he can dismiss stylish Australian batsman Steve Smith on the fourth delivery after three "hurting" bouncers.

Recently, the ICC used a series of pictures featuring basketball star Michael Jordan to troll Akhtar after he claimed that he can get Smith out in a jiffy.

In the first picture, Jordan looks down at something. In the next image it revealed as Akhtar's tweet and third or last one shows the legendary basketball player laughing.

On Wednesday, the 44-year-old pacer tweeted that he was not amused by the ICC's response.

"A symbolic tweet, how ICC has thrown neutrality out of the window. Basically this is how the state of affairs are run there," he wrote.

One of the fastest bowlers in world cricket, Akhtar has posted an old video of himself and captioned: "Dear @icc, find a new meme or Emoji. Sorry I couldn't find any, only found some real videos."

The cricketer has been part of several controversies in the game since his retirement.

Akhtar has represented Pakistan in 46 Tests, 163 One-day Internals, and 15 T20Is and scalped 178, 247, and 19 wickets respectively in each format.

A few months ago, the pacer had hit out at the legal team of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for not dealing with match-fixing properly. PCB's legal advisor Tafazzul Rizvi had filed a defamation suit against the former Pakistan bowler. He told the media that his lawyer had sent the reply to the notice.
