New Delhi | Jagran Auto Desk: MG Motor on Monday launched its much-awaited and equally anticipated MPV Hector Plus in total four variants. The price of SUV has been kept at Rs 13.49 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) for the starters, as the company marks the first anniversary of its SUV launch. Earlier in July, the booking was opened for MPV Hector Plus at Rs 50,000.

Engine Options

MPV Hector Plus comes is made available in three engine options – Petrol, Diesel, and Hybrid Petrol. The petrol variant comes with a turbo charged intercooled engine(1451 cc), which enables the 143 PS with a torque of 250 Nm. The engine comes paired with a six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT gearbox.

The Diesel variant also comes with a turbo charged engine (1956 cc) which the company claims, delivers 170 PS huge output and a torque of 350 Nm. The Diesel engine also comes with a six-speed manual transmission and an automatic gearbox, which its Petrol variant lacks.

There are over 55 connected car features due to its latest i-Smart synchronization with the overall internals of the SUV.

Smart Swipe feature

An individual can open the tailgate of the car by a simple bland swipe of his or her foot.

Pricing

The company has placed a competitive pricing for its latest launch, with its initial Diesel variant costing Rs 14,43,800 (Ex-showroom) and its initial Petrol variant priced at Rs 13,48,400.

There are a total of four Diesel variants, each of which costs at Rs 14,43,800(style), Rs 15,64,800(Super), Rs 17,14,800 (Smart), and 18,53,800 (Sharp).

Hector Plus has launched three Petrol variants, and one Petrol Hybrid variant in the market, each of which has been priced at, Rs 13,48,400 (Style), Rs 16,64,800 (Smart), Rs 18,20,800 (Sharp), and Rs n17,28,800 (Sharp Hybrid). All prices are ex-showroom ones.

Competition

MG Hector will compete against Maruti Suzuki’s XL6, Mahindra’s Marazzo, Tata Hexa, and Toyota Innova Crysta
