New Delhi | Jagran Auto Desk: The official launch of all-new BMW 3 series 2019 is all set to launch in India on Wednesday. BMW is one of the luxury car maker around the world with original model dating back to 1975. The 3-series has dominated the Indian markets and the new seventh-generation luxury car is also expected to be sold in large numbers.

The India-spec BMW 3 series 2019 will be sold in three engines in petrol and diesel variants. The 2.0-liter engine includes 255 bhp and 400 Nm torque for its petrol engine while diesel engine will draw 188 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. Both units come paired with BMW's 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.

The car had made its global debut at the Paris International Motor show last year.

The petrol variant car model is named as BMW 330i while diesel will come under BMW 320d title. It will be offered in three trims each, i.e., Sport, Luxury Line and M Sport.

The new car will compete with Mercedes Benz C-Class, Jaguar XE, Volvo S60 and Audi A4.

The brand new BMW 3 series will continue its 5:50 weight distribution. The car is longer and spacious than its predecessor, it is 76 mm longer, 16 mm wider and 1 mm taller. The cabin space has been revamped. It has an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation feature. Among external features, the car will include L-shaped LED DRLs in the headlamps.

The price of BMW 3 series 2019 starts at Rs 40 lakh.
