Arvind Kejriwal Alleges Electronic Voting Machines Tampering In Punjab

EVM tampering may have led to AAP's poor showing in Punjab, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today alleged, saying around 20 to 25 per cent of its votes may have been "transferred" to the SAD-BJP coalition.

AAP's poor tally of 20 seats is "beyond understanding" and raises a "big question mark" on the reliability of electronic voting machines (EVMs) as political pundits across the spectrum had "predicted a landslide" for the party, he told a press conference here. "How did the Akalis get 30 per cent vote share when an AAP sweep was a foregone conclusion? No one said Congress will perform so well and it got a two-third majority. We suspect that 20-25 per cent of AAP votes may have been transferred to SAD-BJP through EVM tampering," he said.

Congress Stares At Revolt In Goa, MLA Demands Rahul Gandhi's Intervention

After failing to act quickly to form a government in Goa, the Congress now stares at a revolt as a senior legislator said he and other "like-minded lawmakers will be forced to re-think our remaining with the Congress in future".

Senior Congress leader and legislator Vishwajit Rane sought party Vice President Rahul Gandhi's intervention and action against those he claimed "mishandled" the government-formation fiasco.

"Two days were taken to choose a Congress Legislature Party leader. Those in charge indulged in mismanagement. The Supreme Court also said so. They are experienced people, but they did not know what to do, what step to take to form the government. Parrikar came from Delhi and swiftly spoke to everyone concerned, got the numbers and formed the government," the Congress legislator from Valpoi told the media.
