UP Elections 2017: Over 53  Per Cent Voting Till 3 PM In 67 Assembly Seats

Over 53 per cent turnout of voters was recorded till 3 PM in 67 Assembly constituencies across 11 districts of western Uttar Pradesh figuring in the second phase polling today.

The districts where polling is on, amid tight security arrangements, are Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Sambhal, Rampur, Bareilly, Amroha, Pilibhit, Kheri, Shahjahanpur and Badaun.

In less than 600 seconds, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched a record 104 satellites on a single rocket from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. If successful, it would
make India the first country to launch so many satellites in a single mission.

Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, in its 39th flight (PSLV-C37), launched the 714 kg Cartosat-2 series satellite for earth observation along with 103 co-passenger satellites, together weighing about 664 kg at lift off. It has been launched into a 505 km polar Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO).

Haldi Ghati Row: No Plan To 'Rewrite' History, Says Rajasthan University

The University of Rajasthan has received a proposal from the government nominee in its syndicate to include a textbook in the history syllabus which claims that the famous battle of Haldighati was won by Maharana Pratap.

"It has been forwarded to the board of studies of the university for critical examination and appropriate decision," Rajeshwar Singh, who is holding the charge of the vice-chancellor of the university, said, adding that there was no plan to "rewrite" history.

Days after Twitter revealed its fourth-quarter earnings that missed company's revenue estimates, CEO Jack Dorsey has bought $ 7 million worth of Twitter stock, media reports said.

According to a report in Recode on Tuesday, the documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission showed Dorsey made two separate purchases -- he bought about $1 million in stock on Monday, and then $6 million worth of Twitter stock on Tuesday.
